How do I Know What I need to Heal?

Yes, I know, everyone spouts the words Healing, I am healing, heal, heal, heal all the time just lately and you are probably sitting there thinking "What a load of codswallop, just bloody hell get on with it, put a smile on your face and fake it til you make it". I can't believe I'm admitting it, but I too used to be one of those people! I used to think "Healing" was a very pretentious word and people used to use it make an excuse for acting inappropriately, or even for sympathy. (OMG) Little did I know eh!


The fact is - we all need to heal and we should ALL be incorporating it into our day to day routine!


I hear a lot and I mean a lot of comments like - " I don't have anything to heal!' OR "Well what do I need to heal from..?" OR "Well I'm sorry that's what you are going through but I am absolutely fine!" AND ALSO "How do I know what I need to heal from?'


We live in a time where "Healing" is crucial! We can no longer follow in the footsteps of our parents, grandparents and even Great Grandparents! We are here to break the cycle of unhealthy patterns, having a stiff upper lip and keeping grudges in our back pocket!


During our 101 class this week, I was asked one of the questions above and here was my answer: "Imagine that your Aura (energy field) is an egg! Now imagine that every single time someone has upset you, someone has hurt you, you have suffered a trauma or a loss, a crack has formed in your Aura, this is what you have to heal! Also, add the traumas, upsets etc from the previous generations that you have inherited and then, understand that any word you may have not said, any lie you may have told about how you are feeling, the self abuse you inflict upon yourself is all simmering inside of you! Wow, yes, we all have a lot to heal from!


Over the next few weeks I am going to be taking you on a healing journey - (especially with the up and coming release of "Becoming You" - see website home page) it seems only right that I use my experiences to help you break free from what you know to be you, and help you discover the real you deep inside!


So how do you know where to start? What healing do you need to uncover?


Well, first things first, it's important to know that at least half of your emotional and mental conflicts, don't actually belong to you! What? I hear you say! Let me explain.....


You are a sponge, your energy is a sponge! What does a sponge do? It soaks everything up! So you know that friend or family member that drains you....those that call on you for advice....to the busy supermarket, work environment or even parties, you are absorbing all of that unwanted energy! Whether the circumstances are good or not is irrelevant, you are literally a sponge to the energy!


You will have heard me say - "let go of what doesn't belong to you!" and this is what I'm talking about! You can only begin to heal yourself once you practise releasing and protecting your energy field every single day! It has to become as routine as taking a shower or brushing your teeth!


How?


1 - Take a few deep breaths and repeat, " I am releasing everything that does not belong to me!"


2 - As you inhale, inhale cleansing energy, you could visualise the white light, or whatever colour comes to you!


3 - As you exhale, exhale the dense energy, you could visualise this as a grey or darker colour!


4 - Also as you exhale feel the weight falling from your body, inside and out! Falling to the ground externally around your feet and internally through your feet!


5 - Ask Mother Earth to take the surplus energy away to be recycled for a greater good!


6 - Practise this 3 to 5 times a day!


Be patient with yourself and start to make notes about the difference you are feeling. It's also good to start to recognise what makes you uncomfortable or uneasy, whether that be a person or a place, as this is your body's way of letting you know what is no longer suiting you!
